Some publishers ask authors to disclose AI use, while others focus more on originality, factual accuracy, plagiarism, and the author’s responsibility for the manuscript. Book publishers are also dealing with a tricky problem here: AI detectors can flag human writing by mistake. I think checking the manuscript and asking questions when something looks unusual makes more sense than trusting a detector score alone. How should publishers handle a false positive?
