The KRS 762 has landed in Season 4 of Call of Duty Black Ops 7, and it's already the kind of rifle people argue about after a match. It hits hard. Very hard. If you've spent any time warming up in Black Ops 7 Bot Lobbies, you'll notice straight away that this thing can drop targets in just a couple of clean shots at mid range. The catch is simple: it kicks, and it doesn't forgive lazy aim. It's not built for players who sprint into every doorway and hope for the best. The KRS 762 rewards patience, cover use, and picking fights where your first shot actually matters.

How to unlock the KRS 762
You unlock the KRS 762 through the Season 4 Battle Pass, and the good news is that it sits on the free path. You don't need to buy the premium pass just to get your hands on it. That said, you'll still need to put in some time. The quickest way is to stack daily challenges, weekly challenges, and objective-heavy modes. Hardpoint, Domination, and Control tend to be better than simple kill-focused playlists because you're earning score while still getting plenty of gunfights. If you've got Double XP tokens sitting around, use them here rather than wasting them on casual matches where you're not chasing objectives.

What makes the rifle strong
The KRS 762 is a battle rifle in the purest sense. Its damage is the selling point. At medium range, two or three well-placed shots can end a fight before the other player has settled their aim. At longer ranges, it still feels dangerous if you can manage the recoil. The downside is the handling. Aim-down-sight speed isn't snappy, and the vertical climb can get ugly if you hold the trigger too long. Short bursts work better than spraying. You'll also want to pre-aim common lanes more often, because reacting late with this rifle can feel rough against fast SMGs and lighter assault rifles.

Best multiplayer setup
For regular multiplayer, the build should make the gun easier to control without turning it into a slow brick. A Compensator is a strong first pick because it helps tame the vertical recoil. Pair that with a Reinforced Barrel to stretch the range and keep bullet velocity feeling sharp. A Heavy Foregrip helps with side-to-side bounce, which matters when you're trying to land follow-up shots on moving targets. For the rear grip, Quickdraw Grip is the sensible choice. You need that faster ADS and sprint-to-fire speed in 6v6. A clean Red Dot Sight finishes the setup nicely, especially if you don't love the default irons. Play near cover, take the first angle, and don't chase every close-range fight.

Warzone build and playstyle
In Warzone, the KRS 762 works best as a steady ranged rifle rather than a panic weapon. Use a Suppressor to stay off the minimap and smooth out the firing feel. Add a Long Barrel for better velocity and stronger damage consistency over distance. The Bruen Heavy Support Grip is a smart underbarrel choice because it keeps the rifle calmer during longer bursts. An Extended Magazine is almost required in squad fights, since the base mag can feel thin once armour plates get involved. For optics, go with something comfortable at mid to long range, not an overpowered scope that slows you down too much. Perks like Scavenger, Fast Hands, and Ghost fit the weapon well, while Stims and Semtex cover most situations. If you're short on time and looking at services such as Boosting BO7 for sale, it still helps to understand the rifle first, because the KRS 762 only shines when you control the pace and make every shot count.
