What if the mistakes you can’t see are the ones readers notice?
What if the mistakes you can’t see are the ones readers notice?
I thought my manuscript was ready until I read it again after a long break. Suddenly, I noticed repeated words, uneven punctuation, and sentences that sounded fine in my head but strange on the page. What should writers focus on during book proofreading? Which problems do readers notice first, and how do you know when your own editing has gone as far as it can? I’d genuinely value honest advice from experienced writers.
