Multitronic CVT on my A4 is acting up - oil change or something worse?

I'm honestly starting to get a bit stressed out about my 2015 A4 with the Multitronic CVT because it's been doing this weird thing lately where it feels like it's slipping or struggling to find the right ratio when I'm accelerating from a standstill, especially when the engine is cold. It's almost like a rubber band effect where the revs go up but the car doesn't really go anywhere for a second or two, and then it suddenly catches and jerks forward which is pretty unsettling in stop and go traffic around Abu Dhabi. I've been reading up on these CVT units and apparently they're notorious for issues if the fluid isn't changed regularly, and I'll be honest I have no idea when it was last done because the service records from the previous owner are a bit patchy. I took it to a local garage near my office in Musaffah Shabiya and they had a quick look and said the fluid looked dark but they weren't confident working on the CVT because it needs a specific procedure and a special tool to fill it correctly. I really want to find a place that actually knows what they're doing with these boxes because I've heard horror stories about independent garages using the wrong fluid and completely destroying the transmission. I've been searching around and I'm specifically looking for Professional Audi CVT transmission oil change in Musaffah Shabiya because it would be so convenient to just drop the car off before work and pick it up in the evening rather than taking time off to go somewhere else. Has anyone here actually had their CVT serviced locally and had a good experience, or am I better off just biting the bullet and going to the dealer even though I know they'll charge an absolute fortune? I really don't want to end up with a dead car but I also can't afford to throw money at a problem if it's actually something more serious than just old fluid.
