There doesn’t seem to be one standard method. Some publishers ask authors to disclose AI use, while others focus more on originality, factual accuracy, plagiarism, and the author’s responsibility for the manuscript. Book publishers are also dealing with a tricky problem here: AI detectors can flag human writing by mistake. I think checking the manuscript and asking questions when something looks unusual makes more sense than trusting a detector score alone. How should publishers handle a false positive?
